NOTE: Recent updates include fixes for issues with RapidSketch due to changes by Microsoft.

The manual fixes for the sketch components can be manually downloaded and applied from http://www.wingap.com/public_share/att/ and are found under the filenames gcsRapidSketch.exe and gcsSketchJPG.exe.

If you continue to experience issues sketching after updating, please contact your MIS/IT folks to install .NET Framework 4.8, which Microsoft now requires.

Update Instructions

All users must follow these full Update Instructions — Strucfix required.

Clear the contents of your W:\WINGAPSQL\PUSH_UPDATE\ folder before processing this update.
NOTE: This folder name is NOT your local c:\wingapsql\ folder.

• Ask all other users to exit WinGAPSQL

• Right-click on the WinGAPSQL self-extractor link and select Save As

• Create a new folder named ver4.17.16.24 in the folder
<NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates
(Your network letter may be something like w, g, r, etc.)

• Save wingapsqlzip.exe into the folder you just created
<NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates\ver4.17.16.24\

• Open the folder <NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates\ver4.17.16.24\

• Open the file wingapsqlzip.exe

• Extract (unzip) wingapsqlzip.exe into <NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\push_update\

• Run WinGAPSQL

• Confirm the version matches the update version

• Open the SQL menu

• Select the option Check All Structures (Strucfix)

• Strucfix must be run in each appraisal year (AY2022, AY2023, AY2024, AY2025 etc.)

• Ask each user to restart WinGAPSQL and confirm version matches update version

Deploy Reports

For all users

• Save the file wingapreports.zip into the folder
<NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates\ver4.17.16.24\

• Open the file wingapreports.zip

• Extract (unzip) reports into
<NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates\ver4.17.16.24\WingapReports\
NOTE: Do NOT include any custom RDLs in this process

• Open SSRS/SSDT

• Open WingapReports project

• In Solution Explorer, right click on Reports folder and choose Add, then Existing Item

• Browse and open the folder

<NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\updates\ver4.17.16.24\WingapReports\

• Select all items (excluding any of your custom reports) and click Add.

• Answer Yes to overwrite each RDL

• In Solution Explorer, right-click on WingapReports and choose Deploy

• Extract (unzip) wingapsqlzip.exe into <NetworkLetter>:\wingapsql\push_update\

• Ask each user to restart WinGAPSQL and confirm the version matches theupdate version

• Follow instructions above to deploy reports

• Full 4.1.4.22 installer for new PCs on existing WinGAP applications only – not for brand new installations

• SQL Master 2.5.1 Installer requires WinGAPSQL version 4.4.1 or higher (251)
